Are Beyerdynamic DT 770 PROs any good?

I want to eventually buy and amp for these if i get them. My current headphones are dying and im looking at new stuff. A big reason i want these is because i wear headphones for at least 8 hours a day and they need to be comf and these look comf

Go to the headphone general on /g/

No problem. Before you go, delete this thread

Yep. I've got the 80 ohm DT 770's. They are great. Nice clean low end.
>>
Great and you don't need an amp (though it still benefits from having one). Very comfy.

how do you delete threads? i had no idea i could be doing that this whole time

Beyerdynamic headphones are fucking abysmal. They have this egregious V-shape sound that manages to be both muddy with niggerbass and sibilant at the same time. Also the shitty velour pads wear out after 30 seconds of use.

For that price, get some a pair of HD598s or AD900s instead.

the fuck are you talking about
>>
>>61430750
lmao fuck off
>>
>>61430750

What the fuck nigger. With an audio interface they are God tier...
>>
I was choosing between German Maestro GMP 400 and Beyers 770. Beyers were complete shit compared to the German Maestros. The V shape is real and fucks music up.
>>
The 80 ohm version is good, but it's a bit too heavy on the bass for me personally. The 250 ohm on the other hand, has some great neutral sound. They need an amp though, but if you're short on money, an E10K will do fine enough.
IMO they're one of the best choices for around $150.

Buying these is the best possible decision you could make.

I think they would be fine for most types of music. Reading the /g/ headphone general or other comments about the v shape you would expect screeching highs and booming bass, but it's not like that. These were designed as closed back monitors to give a neutral sound signature. My guess is that any v shape comes more from the closed back rather than an open one. They're certainly comfortable.
>>
>>61433360
so would you say they are pretty neutral headphones?
>>
>>61433074
Except buying better headphones would surely be a better idea?

I personally think so, but I don't have much to compare to other than M-Audio AV-30 monitor speakers. I feel like I'm listening to the song as it was intended.

It's probably a question of where you fall on the audiophile spectrum. Are you trying to listen to the music or the equipment? Deciding that would help you interpret reviews you read.

In that case, I really think you would be happy with these. Everything I listen to is very clean and detailed.
>>
another guy here who got them in 80 ohm and i think they are the best headphones that you can get for under 300, really fucking comfy, exceptional wideness, very detailed. using it without amp.
>>
>>61433761
>best headphones that you can get for under 300

You can pick up Fidelio X2 on Amazon for 270 bucks.
>>
>>61433799
that's true, but the dt770 pro are just 140 anyways and my point is for that price they are great
>>
>>61433799

I have the fidelio X1's , should i upgrade to x2's?
>>
>>61430133
Heads up the plastic bands that hold the "cups" are super weak. I had DT 860s which had a very similiar design and they broke after a year of light use (Never left the house always left on headphone stand)
>>
>>61434204
It depends really. They've certainly tightened up the bass so it's still strong but not as flabby as the X1 but other than that, soundwise they're very similar with excellent detail and soundstage. The X2s are higher sensitivity and have a lower resistance cable to the X1. The other differences are mainly cosmetic such as replaceable ear pads.

It might not be worth paying that much for minor upgrades.
