John Mayall's Blues Breakers with Eric Clapton is a great blues rock album that really helped get the genre going. It had Eric Clapton (I think before he was in cream). It was released in 1966, probably one of the most underrated years for music

Trout Mask Replica. The first blues album that felt truely unique to me. Most of the blues music ive heard is from my dad and a couple of university classes though, so i haven't gone super deep into the genre.
