What's the concept.
The lyrics seem quite metaphorical but I think there's themes of bipolar/schizophrenia?

It's about a guy in a sweater who gets progressively balder with each song, and each song represents a different chapter in life.
Maybe not quite a 10/10 but its definately one of my personal favorites.
Full Marks for Ambition.

I thought that was masked dancers. Masked Dancers is more of a concept album I think because it does detail the abortion of a child whether that be interpreted literally or metaphorically. But, just got back does have an overarching theme of discomfort and loneliness.

hey did you read the aborted child interpretation on this site? I wrote that, its cool that someone else agrees with it. as for just got back, I actually think it tells the same story as masked dancers, just in a more distorted, emotional way, focusing more on Adams feelings then outlining the events

You shouldn't ignore it because of what genre it falls under. It's a really incredible album. If you want to listen to it I recommend listening from front to back. The songs are great on their own but as an album it's really spectacular.
If you like this, I recommend checking out Kara's Walk Home on Bandcamp. Same sort of charmingly bad and scrappy vibe.

I didn't mean that it had a narrative concept. It might, I just haven't looked into it. I consider this a concept album because of the songwriting and album structure as well as the instrumentation. Sonically, the songs aren't very different from each other. That coupled with reoccurring lyrical elements and complex song structures makes this album feel like it could be one long, beautiful song.
