Roger Era:
The Wall > The Final Cut

David Era:
A Momentary Lapse of Reason > The Division Bell > The Endless River

I think David Era's albums had the best album covers and titles, but were not nearly as good lyrically as Roger's stuff.
>>
Question, should I bother getting into post-The Wall albums? I already listened to most of the albums prior
>>
>>61356570
Why not? Just don't expect anything too great.
>>
>>61356494
agreed, I thought it was the greatest album ever in high school, but it's probably more like a 6/10. if they trimmed it down to one disc and added some more energy it would be an 8/10

/mu/ is full of faggots who will never admit that ,objectively, DSOTM is the best album

Only edgy infantiles think animals is a better album mostly because it backhandedly criticises "normies". It's not even a fuking original idea, they took it from Animal Farm

People are going to ignore me or call me pleb, pretentious, the list goes on

But my favorite Floyd album is this. I think the weirder more abstract they got the better. And with Abbey Road studios chalk full of the latest technology, sound library, equipment... everything at their disposal, they made their most experimental and most psychedelic work.

On a more personal note, it is absolutely that much more stellar under the influence of marijuana or psychedelic drugs
>>
>>61356927
saying albums are 'objectively' the best is really stupid.

Dark Side of the Moon is literally about life and death, what you experience everyday, what i experience everyday, what we all experience everyday, so, it's nothing new either

The characters are loosely based on those from Animal Farm, but the concept is totally different. Animal Farm is a criticism of the Stalin-controlled Soviet Union (Communism), while Animals is a criticism on capitalism.

Also, you're avoiding the question: Have you read Animal Farm? I have.
>>
>>61357582 (me)

also, your source states:
https://books.google.ro/books?id=PTENpJcCWoUC&pg=PT42&lpg=PT42&dq=pink+floyd+animal+farm&source=bl&ots=HfTo-KZ9Dc&sig=BLX_jKvNnetsnJjf0x_OQbEKBQQ&hl=en&sa=X&ved=0ahUKEwiuxpzP0oLKAhWBORoKHTDPAmIQ6AEIdzAQ#v=onepage&q=pink%20floyd%20animal%20farm&f=false

"As far as I have been able to determine, any direct influence of Animal Farm on Animals is very limited."

Roger Waters: Great Storyteller. Interesting Musical Mind. Horribly Retarded Economic/Politic Sense.

Every other member of Pink Floyd: Decently Competent Musicians.
