I kind of see that, but as opposed to PC Music, where the "acceleration" is done for some critique of the original source material, Druqks seems to represent an homage and expansion of jungle/first wave DnB as a whole, juxtaposed with elements of modern classical and experimental music (shown in the prepared piano and ambient pieces). In that way, the album represents a unique and passionate blend of everything RDJ drew from in the past
I recognize that its somewhat derivative, but I feel that it enhances my enjoyment as opposed to repressing it
