look for a used one. then get a midi usb so you can record. best advice is watch tutorials and fuck around with it

I'm not OP, but would an Ensoniq ESQ-1 be a decent starter synth?
Not OP, but I have a midi keyboard that I want to start using it to record backing stuff for the post rock stuff I do on guitar. Any advice on how it could be used? Good programs or tutorials? I have garage band cause it came with my Mac but I feel like I could be doing more or maybe I'm just not using it correctly
