Most of those people are in their own special kind of circle jerk. I was never under the assumption that the bigger ones came here.
I mean Poohkali is funny to read at times (I'm not really into power metal) but he has a group of people that will favourite whatever he tells them to and has a list ranking who favourited the most of his stuff.

simple way to improve the site tenfold is just to make reviews anonymous submissions. the forums can exist as a serparate entity, but the personality contest bullshit needs to stay away from the actual music reviews
