Hip hop began as an instrumental genre, these are all just regular hip hop.
The alternative is ''vocal hip hop'' or ''rap music''.

So, I'm not really a fan of hip hop but instrumental hip hop sounds like something that I could get into. I like all kinds of dark/melancholic music, so if there are instrumental hip hop albums like that I'd love to hear them. Any recs for a complete noob?
