I don't know how to describe it. I've tried other IDM artists like Squarepusher that I've liked, but I get sucked right back into Aphex Twin after finding more obscure tracks.

aphex skips across sub-genres (and sometimes helps invent them) seamlessly. it would help if you pointed out which albums you mean. for example, druqs=john cage, early ambient work=eno.
really just find the /mu/ chart for electronic and keep exploring.

I've gotten into a lot of his soundcloud stuff, like ep string, bpjdrop forge, quad rave, and a lot more. Album-wise, I've like SAW 85-92 and Come To Daddy the most. (listened to Drukqs for a while, but never really got into it). I have a couple /mu/ charts I've been looking at already too.
