when i was a sophomore in highschool, we read catcher in the rye. at the end, one of our choices for a project was to create a playlist of 10 songs that we thought holden would have on his ipod, and explain why it relates to him and the book. i had a suspicion that my teacher used the 'chan, but i wasn't sure, so i tested the waters to see if he would say anything. i used 7 songs from /mu/core, drawing from ITAOTS, MBDTF, and hospice (it was 2010, the latter two were all the rage on /mu/ at the time). i got a 95 i think. i later came to realize that he probably didn't use this website; he was just a massive faggot.
anyway moral of the story is that i had a lot of fun making my playlist and enjoyed that project, so your kids might too. you should totally do it. and then post them here for /mu/ to read. do it for us. do it for emmy.

I feel like since math is such an objectively dry subject the teacher has a lot of responsibility to keep class lively. helps to be personable and lighthearted / casual about presenting the material while still being focused on getting things done.
