Bland. Most of the songs here would have benefitted from being drawn out a bit longer, like they did in Microcastle/Weird Era. The thing that drew me to deerhunter to begin with was those moments when the instrumentation goes a little sour, and that's pretty absent here.

Anyway Fading Frontier is their worst release yet. Mostly bland and forgettable, with a few serious low points. Breaker and Living My Life sound like Owl City or some shit.

There will probably be a new Atlas Sound album soon, hopefully it's more adventurous than this

I think it has several solid tracks, but to be honest, the last half is so forgettable minus Ad Astra. Leather and Wood is TERRIBLE.

I like it but man, they should've had a much better follow up after Monomania, which was goat.
