I am ashamed it took me this long to listen to this. It is so fucking good; 10/10 album for me for sure. What else should I listen to that is similar? Is the rest of the band's discog worth checking out? Also The Dismemberment Plan general.
i was like you at first, woah THE GODLY ALBUM they could not top that, but then i listened to change, and then to "!", atm emergency and i sounds the least pleasable to me from their discog.

a guilty pleasure, I rotate it a few times a year for jogging. Gyroscope and Memory Machine are the best tracks.

It's way more consistent in it's mood, so the spontaneity of Emergency is lost, but it makes up for it in just being sad as fuck.
Is Terrified has the most energy of their middle three albums, and is really exciting to listen to because of that.
! is a lot more juvenile and the punk-y then everything else they've done. But if you're into that, it's still solid for what it is.
I think Uncanny Valley just sucks, but some people like it. It sounds like another band trying to copy the dismemberment plan to me, but whatever, you might like it anyway.
