you're all right - it's the army of joy division shirts that turns me off. echo and the bunnymen is great, good mention.
For more post punk, check out The Chameleons and The Comsat Angels and The Sound. I think The Chameleons' first album is one of the greatest albums ever, for real.
I've also been recommended Breathless, Lowlife, Theatre of Hate and Spear of Destiny, though I've not really gotten round to listening to their discographies that much yet.
