I've seen them called unison blasts or hammer blasts before too. But yeah I'm pretty sure those terms are pretty niche anyway.

really depends, some bands i've come back months or years later after an unimpressive first listen but for in the moment i usually sit through the album unless its like really really abysmal

Anyone heard all of the new Baroness album yet? I got about 7 songs off of someone's slsk before they pulled it and it's pretty decent so far. Half the song's could've been Blue Record material and the rest is slightly heavier Yellow era/Foo Fighters shit.
