I mean think of a collage, it is a series of images taken from different sources pasted together to make one picture - for this analogy to work the sounds have to occur simultaneously
in this case the pictures would be taken and pasted next to each other in a long line, not combined with one another
it's just a collection of recordings, not a collage of them
