your kick is way too prominent in the mix. that and its flat. Plus its an irregular beat with a weak snare, so its really hard and annoying to follow. Also your kick is out of key, which is why it stands out so much. I can tell youre not a drummer from your beat. I keep listening and relistening, and i cannot follow the pattern.

ah man i know but i always see u are active in these threads and been a little while since i listened to something new of urs so ill cehck anything new out in a little but. but no im in london actually! forgot its just a brand thats specific to the UK! but yeh i terms of the beat u just gotta play it in on something and its fairly easy to get down. ususally just gotta find the right level of swing/off beatness that suits the sample. i use a NI maschine but even a midi-keyboard will do it (essentially just avoid trying t do it by mobing dum sounds by tiny incraments on an arrange page lol)

but yeh just gotta try a few things out really, i ususally play in a sample pattern to a metronome then try to play in the drums around that (like play in a kick and snare and build from there) and just experiment with different feels until it just feels right!

Just listened to your stuff. I love your track "Drone," it's really gorgeous and you can never go wrong with sampling Thom Yorke; I definitely foresee myself replaying it, and listening to it on lone car rides in the future. But I personally felt like that track had something that the others lacked. They sound really good, but I feel like you played it too safe. I think they could benefit from other elements being added in and/or more dynamics. But I dig minimal stuff, so if that's what you're going for don't take that comment too seriously. I just feel like Drone has something about it that makes it particularly stick out, it has atmosphere AND a melodic element which captures the attention, while the others are more like background without enough foreground. Anyways, awesome work, keep it up man, I like your stuff.
