Watching my dad struggle to hook up the NES, but basically the same thing. Never had more fun watching someone fail to understand basic electronics. Then I played Burger Time for 6 hours.
Christmas started sucking after 1996. Not just because I grew up.
Christmas in the late 80's and early 90's was really unabashedly cheesy and earnest. Not a touch of irony.
