No way. The best sampling record simply has to be a hip-hop record. Before hip-hop, sampling was gimmicky and poorly integrated into the music. Hip-hop producers reinvented sampling as a serious technique that could build entire new songs by reducing recordings to bits and pieces and building them up again.
