Let's get a Prog Rock general going. What have you guys been listening to lately? I've been listening to Genesis a lot recently and also some Art Zoyd. Peter Gabriel is such a fantastic vocalist.
Haven't listened to all the albums I've wanted to get to this year, but pic related will probably be my prog AOTY

Top prog albums (Foxtrot, TDSOTM, ITCOTCK) are first-rate.
Very strong, but not quite peak prog albums (The Lamb Lies Down on Broadway, Animals, Larks' Tongues in Aspic) are second-rate.
Kansas is third-rate.

Been listening to Pink Floyd alot again lately. Going through their back catalog and man I love Atom Heart Mother. Fantastic album.

Just listened to Albert Marcoeur's Album A Colorier. Only liked two songs from the album, but liked those a lot.
Also, friendly reminder that King Crimson played Heavy Metal before Black Sabbath did.

You mean metal as a whole or traditional metal? Cause I really wouldnt consider anything off of In The Court to be metal at all. Meanwhile, the Black Sabbath debut featured straight up Doom Metal

King Crimson never had a metal album, but they had a few Heavy Metal songs (the style of music we all know about).
Now that you mention Doom Metal, it reminded me of this band called Clear Light who had this song called Street Singer which is a pretty good example of Doom Metal being played in 1967. Too bad all their other stuff is average psych rock.
Just listened to this after finding it in a share thread, it's supposed to be a cult classic and I definitely like it despite being too poppy at times
