DJ Earl
Streetlight Manifesto
GY!BE in memphis. It was pretty great.
I got to hear Modest Mouse at one of the Chicago festivals. They were a lot of fun, but played only their big hit singles.
Snoop Dogg played before and was a half hour left stoned as fuck (or just lazy.) He got the cord pulled on himself though.
Sufjan Stevens in Nashville and it was greattttttt
>>60951325
Riot Fest was alright this year. Last year was better though.
Jim O'Rourke about a year ago. I don't go to live shows often
>>60951053
Saw a YLT acoustic set back in sept., amazing show. So pissed, I was going to see Dino jr the night they brought in Kevin Shields but I had homework... Fuck
>>60951053
Modern Baseball/Pup/Jeff Rosenstock/Tiny Moving Parts
Sleaford Mods, was great. Would love to get shouted at by a middle aged man again. Venue was shite though.
>>60951448
Congrats on not committing suicide, I probably would have.
>>60951053
Mefjus
Current Value
Black sun empire
Bl4ck Owlz
same night
Saw Sun Kil Moon last night.
was 10/10
Dead and Co
The World is a Beautiful Place and I Am No Longer Afraid to Die
Backstreet Boys
it's been a while....
Hint Hint
it was weird, I think they wanted me to get gay and shit, weird show. I was too young.
The Dear Hunter. They're better live.
I saw low. Their new album is 7/10 but live 10/10. Incredible droning.
>>60953255
Fuck I had a chance to see them in November, missed it cause I'm an idiot. I really love their new album too.
I was supposed to see Scott Weiland tomorrow but...
>>60953310
Get a refund and use the money to see Buckcherry instead
mac demarco
>>60953336
I'm just bullshitting.
He was actually scheduled to be in my city tomorrow, though.
>>60952944
In Providence? Sounds sick, how was the show?
>>60953194
Same, though honestly Foxing was the best part of the show.
Wolf Eyes. It was my first noise show. I wasn't expecting much performance wise (nor did it happen) but it was great musically to just absorb.
>>60953517
Everyone was fucking great. It was my first time ever listening to Pup and they left an amazing first impression.
The show was in Houston about a month ago.
Cattle Decapitation
Bretty good show, only like 25 people came.
>>60953650
Did they do that Jay Reatard song?
The mountain goats
death grips
>>60953341
how was it? was the crowd annoying?
>>60953163
did he call you a stupid redneck?
>>60954337
Nope, they played Beastie Boy's Sabotage with Jeff, though.
The Hotelier
>>60954427
nah he was fucking super funny, and really awesome to the crowd. Pitchfork is full of shit.
Between the buried and me
>>60954433
kinda weird to be super funny and then play really sad songs
>>60954447
>opened with a cover of Moon River by Andy Williams
>people start laughing
>in between every other verse or so Kozelek is jokingly asking 'WHATS SO FUNNY?'
It was such an amazing show anon, he is such a likable guy. Pitchfork are a bunch of babies. Also Neil Halstead from Slowdive was playing guitar for him.
>>60954471
wow i wonder how he knows the slowdive guy. sounds like a great show i wouldve wanted to see it
>>60954509
According to Mark at the end of the show they have been friends for multiple decades.
The other crazy part was that the drummer they had never even really rehearsed with them, apparently Mark just met the drummer for the first time 7 hours before the show Musically though every single member was on point.
It was funny, at one point Mark got kind of upset because someone asked if he was gonna play Mistress and Mark pointed out the fact that he'd only played songs that he'd written in the last 3 years or so up to this point, so him playing a song he wrote 27 years ago would be kind of ridiculous. That was the only time Mark seemed genuinely upset.
>pic related
It was in East Brunswick, so their hometown fans were there. Real freaks. But it was pretty fucking fun so I didn't give a shit after they started playing.

It was a great gig
Gorilla biscuits :)
Kanye in September. It was a shit show. Kanye came out an hour late. Everyone was fucking standing up even though it was a seated venue. I couldn't enjoy the show because everyone around me was trying to fucking snapchat the damn thing. The mixing was also a fucking mess so I could barely hear him too.
I've never been to a concert. The only way to properly experience music is in isolation. A crowd would only serve to detract from the music.
Circa Survive in Minneapolis

Lol
Jeff Rosensomething
>>60954577
Saw them in 2013. Best night of my life up until that point.
They're so fucking tight in their performance, it's scary. Everyone played their part perfectly. Real pros.
The Mountain Goats, but it was MONTHS ago.
>>60954577
i tried to get into a toh kay concert that was 19+ when i was 17 but they didn't let me in and confiscated my friend's fake ID. it was a real bummer since i didn't know it was 19+ until after i bought tickets
>>60954844
>19+
what the fuck. where do you live? That is so weird..
the story so far + basement + turnover. no bully pls i didnt go for tssf, i went for basement and turnover
>>60954844
>Toh Kay
>19+
What the fuck, how?
>>60954874
canada, specifically province of ontario, drinking age is 19 and he was playing in a bar
>>60953523
Agreed. What date did you see them? I saw them 12/1
>>60954935
Here in Aus most gigs are 18+ because of the drinking age. There used to be a place that I would go to that was real sketchy and wouldn't ID me. I used to get into 18+ gigs and drink there when I was 16, I went back there when I was in my hometown and I ended up hitting on this girl until I figured out she was 16 when she started talking about school, that place is deceiving
Between the Buried and Me with Deafheaven and Intronaut
What a great show that was. It's been a little while though.
Do local bands count? I see a shit ton of local bands frequently.
As far as a larger act, the most recent one i saw was CHON a few months back
Fuzz
It was okay. Thee Oh Sees essentially do the same thing but with the 10x the intensity live.
I saw Author & Punisher a couple weeks ago, it was pretty fun, nice small venue
The last one I saw was Front 242, the whole line up was fantastic retro industrial ebm shit. I was going to see Autechre in LA but I couldn't make it unfortunately
Ought, with some local bands opening. good show
I saw car seat headrest on monday and deerhunter last saturday
