Next to Wonderful Rainbow, what is Lightning Bolt's best record? I wasn't a big fan of their release this year, but I've liked this album for a few years now and never ventured further.
I like their first album.
Mindflayer is good too.

Why didn't you like Fantasy Empire? It might be my favorite of theirs, although Dead Cowboy is the GOAT Lightning Bolt track imo

I remember being bored by it, but I've only given it a listen once. I'll probably give it another listen now that I'm checkign WR again and their st and see how I feel about it in that context.

Hypermagic Mountain is really great.
My favorite personally.

It definitely improves with more listens. The Metal East, Horsepower, Mythmaster, Dream Genie, and Snow White are all great.
