Nah, he is a master sampler, you don't even know what he is sampling most of the time unless he consciously leaves it obvious like with Blame Game. Also, if he weren't a dope beat maker he wouldn't be picked up to become a head producer in a big label, the thing is that his production is more sweet sounding and purposely panders towards popular tastes, but that doesn't mean it can't be good.
