Unknown Pleasures is a decent 6/10 album with a whole lot of influence backing it up. The band's overall output is mostly mediocre with a few really good songs

Closer is mostly great, but Passover, Isolation and Means to an End all kinda suck. Solid 7/10.
Unknown Pleasures feels half baked and shitty the entire time. New Dawn Fades and I Remember Nothing are the only notable tracks. 4/10.
I've listened to the Substance compilation a few times and it's alright.
Only ever listened to them because of Love Will Tear Us Apart, but now I realise Isolation and She's Lost Control are both better

UP definitely grew on me. Disorder and She's Lost Control became immediate favourites, but now I've come to appreciate the soaring riff in Shadowplay, the punk thing they have going on in Interzone, and the introspective style of the more gothic/less danceable songs.
