Check it out guys! I finished my subkick mic today. Came out sooo fukken good. I can't wait to give it a proper test... don't have a kickdrum lying around but I'm gonna record some bass at least. So chuffed with how it turned-out.

Hi /dead/prod
Dark ambient work here still trying not to be too much of a hack and to make something interesting in this genre filled with shit
I'm worried about some parts having too much things happening, some parts having too less, the noisy build-up being too long or too noisy
( TL ; DR ) But the most important is :
Is it spooky enough?

>>60886122
2repetitive4me but a nice acid bassline
Can't say much more your way is a pefectly fine way of doing it
Syncopation on the accents is usually a good thing

Could use some help with the vocals please! I'm trying to make them sound like they weren't recorded with a potato
>>60888207
dude...you need to work on volume control, you're clipping like crazy. other than that, its pretty dope. reminds me of chemical brothers.
>>60888182
i dont get it but it was neat to listen to. seems like it could be the back drop to some dark souls like game. What would be really cool is if you dropped into a beat at like 2 min mark!
>>60888434
Full software tons of samples
Very basic shit, fl studio, some reverbs, delays, chorus, phasers, distortions, overdrvies, the fruity granulizer
Preparing a short album of dark ambient i'd probably post it here when finished if people are interested

>Funny pic
no, no it isn't

kind of new to composing. i just improvise on the piano and take out the parts i like. i can't read music and can only focus on one piece for so long before i lose interest in it.
>>60889517
You should learn to write desu some parts are really nice
>>60889561
>>60889517
I insist : you have strong fundamentals that some people lack awfully here, i believe that if you could focus more on a piece you could write some really good things
>>60885354
any of yall niggas got some tips you wanna share for mixing digital drums?
i use logics ultrabeat with a multi output and just drag and drop samples into that then tweak the samples individually and have a drum buss and a bit of parallel compression.
any tips/suggestions on what to have in the drum buss chain?
Hi /prod/
Found a very old track of mine while looking for something else in my /prod/ folder and i liked it

Nocturnal Suspension - WIP
The fade-in is from a dreamier 6/8 waltz-type song sketch. I'm trying to find a way to make the transition to the second half smoother. I also need to fix some irregularities with the percussion and what-not. I'm excited to see how this turns out, I feel like it's got some fire under its ass
>>60889727
i just get frustrated with where i want the piece to be and not getting there while i'm still invested in it. i can hear what i want in my head but my fucking hands wont cooperate.

When did you quit producing guys?
3 months ago for me. It really sucks.
Sorry to bother you all, but I was wondering if any of you knew what effects I could use get a piano to sound
like (https://youtu.be/Y9ePLV6VHF0)? Your help would be greatly appreciated.
>>60891165
Needs more bite, more crunch.
Something to combat the smooth broth you got cooking with the rock-y noise.
I didnt know where to post this but whats a nice keyboard/piano to buy for a beginner that likes a lot of dreampop and ambient piano?
Tried making a vaporwave track, dont know how it turned out http://youtu.be/Px5qAQQVzgk

What's the best production app on Android? I've been using G-Stomper Studio, which isn't bad, but then I'm just fucking around with no idea what I'm actually doing.
Also, good sample pack downloads?

Anyone know some organ VSTs that can accomplish a similar sound to the organ on the song Sauna by Mount Eerie from the album of the same title?

I picked away at it for a coupla days. I already had the thing planned-out in my head because I've been thinking about it for ages, and I had all the parts except for some nuts & bolts. Overall probably like 6 hours of assembly time, sawing, solder, etc. I used it to record the woofer on my monitors quietly last night and it sounds beautiful!
