I've owned both, I'd recommend the 598's for a number of reasons but mostly because the pads on these things are made of fucking clouds. I wear them easily 8-12 hours a day, with glasses on, and never even feel them.

I have the 598s and I don't even use them for casual listening. The bass is weak and the sound is so good it's almost too clear. If incredibly good sound is your thing then go for it. They're excellent for mixing though.
