We are a weird 3-piece stoner rock band from canada, and just started a soundcloud account to share some of the demos we recorded.
I would love to hear some feedback for what we've got so far.
Recorded this a couple days ago in take (on garageband with built-in mic out of laziness. and yes, I'm aware that this is poor sound quality. its just a quick one-take recording of a song i wrote, and i will record a decent one eventually)

i just learned over the past year about layering/mixing by grinding it out in ableton. some youtube videos are helpful, though i usually don't have the attention span for them (check out mr bill i think)
from a purely technical point of view (unrelated to songwriting), producing is very methodical and good results can be achieved systematically, you just have to mix down everything, have a lot of layers, and use or make good drum samples
i practice producing like musicians play an instrument cuz that's the only way to get better, consistency of exposure is required to build momentum of skill
