It depends on the person whether or not you'll get addicted. It helps if you see what it ends up doing to people. The first time I did it was 2 years ago. Did it again 2 days later and knew that I was getting into dangerous territory.
The next time I did it was a year later, then a few months later, and now I'm here.
If you hang out with the wrong people, and ESPECIALLY if you decide to do it 2 days in a row, you're going to get fucked up.

Shooting up is definitely night and day from snorting. You get much higher, but that's how people get hooked.
I use heroin recreationally, I've shot up, speedballed, etc. You can do H recreationally, but you need self control. Don't do it often, and especially don't shoot up often.
I never did it to the point of getting dope sick though.
Not worth it, if you're seriously going to do it only rail it, DO NOT inject it.
Still be careful though because it's still possible to OD on it when you insuffalate it. Don't drink any alcohol or anything with it.
