I think it's pretty solid, some really great tracks. The biggest problem with JN is that she's so sonically consistent. It's always a nice chord progression or two with a lot of embellishment on either the piano or harp, with a nice sort of winding melodic phrase, and she'll repeat it many times with sort of folky lyricism that usually pretty good and to give the track momentum she'll add a lot of incidental orchestration. I'm not saying that this can't lead to a pretty broad spectrum of music, but the pattern is there, and when the instrumentation itself is always the same set of instruments used in the same way it makes it feel like she's not really trying different sounds. Age of Adz may or may not be to your taste, but at least Sufjan tried a different palette. I think she needs to approach songwriting with a different system sometime soon, because as much as I appreciate her talent and consistency, it's starting to feel a bit redundant.

This all said, she's my favorite female artist.
