Why is Jazz total shit? It's literally just noodling around the same notes over a simplistic rhythm with no dynamics to speak of. 90% of it sounds the same, the "compositions" don't emote anything meaningful or transcendental, there's nothing to challenge the ear at all. I think you're bait, but anyway i'll break it down for you.
REPETITION IS IN EVERY GENRE.
That's the reason they're classified in the genre, because they're similar compared to every other music. A pop song is generic, a rock song is generic and a jazz song is generic. But its doesn't mean its don't have its special something I find jazz really relaxing I don't know much theory but the improvisation, the notes used pleases me. I and others enjoy it, you don't.
I'm not going to say pop is shit, I enjoy many genre but you should really get into jazz and stop being so close-minded.
