Janelle Monae - Electric Lady. Blew my mind the first few times, then I realized it wasn't actually that great, just a clever idea with a lot of polish and money behind it. But none of the raw genius that distinguishes "good" from "great", and it's too full of itself to take as passive listening.
Also: The Black Parade by My Chemical Romance. Great for an angsty teenager, still not really bad, but tiresome as an adult.
