>the guy who sperged the fuck out in that Dylan doc
explain pls i don't understand
>>60809257
there's a documentary by Martin Scorsese about Bob Dylan called No Direction Home and it's a very good account of his life. A good junk of it deals with his time in the Village folk scene, and a ton of people involved were interviewed. Liam Clancy was one of them, and acted really weird and spergy and made tons of strange jokes and was just generally a character, and he came back quite a bit throughout the rest of the film.
>>60809337
bob dylan did call liam the greatest singer of ballads ever or something, so he kind of had to be in the documentary
he seems like a nice guy from live albums and stuff though, i don't wanna ruin my perception of him by watching that dylan doc
have you listened to liam's music? it's bloody wonderful
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=11KB2fpCpvQ
>>60809439
if you already like him you probably won't stop liking him, it was particularly funny because they don't even introduce him as a singer until he's already shown up a good ten times, so you're just like "who is this guy"? but he does grow on you. There were a few clips they played of him with his vocal band, but they weren't really the kind of thing I could get into. I'll check out the link you sent in a bit

Get Leibowitz's Beethoven cycle and listen to Mozart ;^)
Try some Bix Beiderbecke and Jelly Roll Morton too.
>>60813559
i like this smaller chart much better
may i take it?
>>60813702
s-sure
>>60813647
Will go for that Beethoven Cycle. I'm usually not too picky about performers, but if you say it's really good, I'll give that particular one a look.
>and listen to Mozart ;^)
I've been putting him off because I have a mate who adores him and I like to slag her over it.
I've heard her playing piano sonatas by him and saw one of his Pieces live though and I like em.
Anything in particular you think I'd love?
I've actually been listening to a Jelly Roll Morton comp a lot over the past two weeks or so. It's pretty fucking class.
As for Bix, I enjoy his tone and I think he's got a really smooth style but his playing isn't interesting enough that I'd put him in my top 100.
>>60814319
did you ever have a tumblr page?
>>60813917
You really can't go wrong with most mature Mozart works.
His piano concertos are particularly GOAT.

Does anyone else just get new music by looking at albums that look interesting based on the person's taste on their chart?
That's what I do.
>>60819309
I look for neat album art, then I read a review of it to get a general description of what it'd be like
Am I beyond saving?
>>60820041
Yes, don't let anyone tell you otherwise.
