I'm glad I got to see STP in 2008 when they had their first great tour in years. In recent tours before then STP had all sort of problems, particularly with Weiland's erratic behavior, both on and off (but especially off) stage. Plus, I heard he would often go onstage too drunk to perform well. After that 2008 tour everything fell apart for STP again. I love that band and it was very hard for me to read the news about him. I will definitely miss him.
