New (old) Boards of Canada track:
https://touched.bandcamp.com/track/northwest-territories
The track is part of a new charity compilation for Touched Music where famous IDM artists have submitted tracks but are credited anonymously.
The track sounds like a slightly less catchy ROYGBIV to my ears, definitely of the MHTRTC era from it's production style.
There is discussion of the compilation here on Twoism:

it's shit

it's obviously a throwaway but still nice to hear something from the vault
Better than TH, worse than Geogaddi.
It's a pretty good song, I'd put it instead of Rue the Whirl on MHTRTC.
>BoC will never release something as dark as Geogaddi or a few old tunes again
Fuck my life in two pieces tbqh

Rue the whirl is great though
...but it was already featured on Twoism

I loved Rue The Whirl the first time I listened to MHTRTC, but after some listens it becomes boring as fuck.
It's the only bad song on that album
Meh. If someone had told me this was just some BoC imitator I'd probably believe them.
very nice

Wow, i mean WOW
its crazy for some one like BOC to just do something like this.

Nice, it's honestly just good to see anything new from them honestly. Now if only they would just release Hooper Bay...
Has this been confirmed to being by boc? i mean , northwest territories sounds like its trying to copy their sound too much

i'd prefer play by numbers, that sample of wouldnt you like to be free is too good not to want to hear the rest
