its the only form of popular music thats still exciting to me. and i think the advance of technologies and how fast electronic music technologies of the past date makes it so its always fresh or even old stuff (ben zimmermans baltika years) sounds so singular. the format of guitars, vocals, and drums is so played out.

Moogs are overpriced, overrated garbage. The "moog sound" can be achieved on almost any other well made, good quality synth (which, the Moog in no doubt is).
Prophet-V is a much more versatile, fuller sounding synth. Capable of many more sounds and still retaining the phatness.

While Moog's and P5's are great, subtractive synthesis is bascally pleb-tier shit for simple people at this point. Everything's already been done, it's like a Les Paul with a Marshall amp.
FM is super-powerful and dirt cheap, but because idiots are all 'muh anal logs' it's basically a whole untapped spectrum. Same with Granular and Additive, and I'm sure if anyone bothered to think about it, we could probably coax decent sounds out of ROMplers.
