Can someone help me identify this guitar? It doesn't have a serial number and I couldn't find anything about it on google since I don't know a model name. Probably 70's Japan. I got it for free today.

Also general guitar thread.

Hold on for a fucking second. My internet is slow.
>>

Can you tell me a bit about it, because Google can't.
>>
>>60764493
It's a guitar, it has twelve strings, if you lick the headstock then tap on the back of the body three times I'll get dubs.

cheap late 70s jap knock off company. might be ok depending on the factory but not amazing. not worth anything but if it plays well be happy

oh also its a copy of one of the martin d12 models
>>
>>60764666
It being based on a Martin design can't be a bad thing. The neck feels pretty nice even though I didn't play at much before I took the strings off. It needs some work though.
>>60764631
Neat.
>>
>>60764726
well the design is more the look than the actual inside bracing and what not that makes martins good but some of the 70s jap copies are very playable guitars, others are not. also the truss rod cover on the head stock makes me chuckle. does it actually have a truss rod?
>>
>>60764802
I havnt taken the plate off yet, but it'll need an adjustment soon if it does.
Why would it have the plate if it didn't have a truss
>>
>>60764917
cuz copies. actual d models had the truss adjustment inside the body so the headstock adjustment is comical.. also a lot of copies of that era had drilled holes in the headstock but no actual truss rod. it was all for show which is why i asked.

Actually anon
>>
>>60765045
thats awesome. probably a better made one then. you're lucky. also since the bridge hasen't come unglued you probably have a very saveable guitar that will play really good once its setup. its still worth nothing but you may have a gem on your hands in terms of sound and play-ability
>>
>>60765105
I have another guitar like that, a 70's tesco body with a 50's airline neck. Worth nothing, but cool looking/sounding. Thanks anon, I'll make a new thread when I've fixed the bridge, nut, pole pieces, and machine heads. As well as cleaned it, added some structure to the cracked headstock and done general maintenance that's needed to be done for the last decade.
