>friend tells me to listen to this because its a 'forgotten masterpiece'
>its literally just goofy scooby doo pop songs with namedropping in the lyrics
It actually is a forgotten masterpiece though.
I mean, really, it's fantastic. Siberian Breaks blows my fucking mind. I picked it up on vinyl for RSD a couple of years ago to show my support because I listened to the rip about 40 times. This is coming from someone who really didn't care for OS.

Maybe because this album is quite the departure from their debut, and no mention of metanoia?

Your the one misusing punctuation and using inbred conjunctions.
Wait I'm arguing with someone who has a mental illness, lol, I may just be after all
It was really misunderstood on release leading to one of the most embarrassing review pitchfork ever did. It's really a fantastic album that no one wanted to give a try since it didn't immediately sound like OS.

I don't think you could have managed to undersell this any more

the first album was way better
This album is amazing. If you disagree, well then fine go listen to something else.
No doubt a forgotten masterpiece, Siberian Breaks is still the best thing they've ever done, and the lyrics throughout the whole record are fucking fantastic, I Found a Whistle gives me the chills everytime.
