All these high scores trigger me
>>60736646
good bonnier rating
>>60736676
i'm probably not going to listen to the album, so it's ok
I couldn't make it through the last track on Eric Dolphy's Other Aspects without laughing.
I liked Iron Man more than Out to Lunch, which was surprising.
>>60737009
Thanks for sharing that
Was a cool listen

Curve-correcting, I see
>>60737003
no one cares about your curve shithead
>>60736453
Good scores.
>>60737003
Why do this to yourself?
where 4/5 means awesome/frequent rotation and 2.5/5 means lackluster/might listen to again.
>>60737044

>>60737145
It would have been lower, but I think it has a very strong opening.
>>60737173
yup :^)
what did you think of that haco collab by the way? I like a few of her solo albums and the duo with toshiya tsunoda
implying rating means anything
How do I see my recent ratings without wishlist
>>60736677
i love u
just chill
>>60737198
I've only heard Ash in the Rainbow and I really dig it; the combination of her blunt vocals, unconventional sampling and subtle cello backdrop make for some great soundscapes. I guess in terms of hooks it could've been stronger but I feel like that wasn't really the focus of the album anyway. It works really well as a mood piece. Any other Haco stuff worth checking out?

>>60737464
What are your 5s? Just wondering since I've never seen those ratings from people
>>60737464
>>60737549
sry guys i just thought it was kind of average
I wrote this in my about me as a justification, I'm basically trying to use a 4 star system.
I don't use ratings the way most of rym does because it's too confusing (what's the difference between a 4 and a 4.5?) and I don't think its right to give art precise numerical ratings. A 5 from me doesn't necessarily mean it's some of the best music ever made, it just means that I think that it's worth listening to. I give a lot of high ratings because I enjoy a lot of music, particularly the music I go out of my way to listen to an entire album of.
>>60737606

Tell me about Third Eye Blind. Been wanting to listen to that album for a while now
>>60737738
Not the same guy but that EE album is overrated trash. Having to listen to that awful accent and unending falsetto for fourty fucking minutes really tried my patience.
Also why is "Rock" a primary genre for anything after the 1960s?
'sup folks
>>60737738
grimes went for euphoric pop and made one of the best pop albums of the decade
everything everything went for alt-j slightly off kilter radio rock and sort of achieved that? dogshit record
>>60737766
third eye blind is the pinnacle of an ultimately doomed genre that was all over the radio in the late 90s...that post-grunge power pop shit.
go into the album with no pretentions...it's perfect summery pop rock.
>>60737800

How the fuck do you add a genre to an Artists' profile you submitted? It got approved months ago but there's STILL no genre meaning it doesn't show up under genre searches grrr
some beats

>>60737944
I think you need at least two or three people to bump your genre vote before it registers.
example for me personally:

>>60737923
yeah...it's a word though.
>>60737531
Nothing really stood out too much for me on the album, it was just a nice album. I respect anyone who thinks it's incredible though

>Drive sound track 2.5/5
But it's so good.
Here goes nothing
>>60738665
Also, my recent ratings.
>>60738690
>post-Discipline King Crimson
>good
>>60737760
>revolutionary pekinese opera ver.1.28 a 2/5
what don't you like about it? it's one of my favourite ground zero releases
>>60738690
I think I like you.
Blackout by Britney Spears is the only pop album I rated above 4.0. Why?
I like when things aren't pretentious and are good for what they are. It's simply flawless degenerate and forgettable pop record but the best of that kind. It has style, top notch production, lyrics and a specific vibe to it.
>>60737739
>rating his ability to rate jazz while knowing nothing about him
>>60737396
He'll probably come back to RTJ2 in a few months and give it 2.5 or 3 stars. I really liked it for about two months, and now I hardly enjoy it at all. blockbuster night part II is still a good jam for drinking though. Honestly though I've hardly found a hiphop album that stays good for months on end, I like lots of hiphop but it always gets old fast. And I don't mean when it was made, they just seem to grow stale after many listens. Except smokin and drinkin by Danny Brown will forever be a GOAT song to get fucked up to
>>60738916
Not him, but chances are, if you are rating 'Minugs Ah Um' anything lower than a four then you are being contrarian or clearly know nothing about jazz.
Go read low star reviews for any given jazz album. Take a shot every time someone describes it as boring. Enjoy dying from alcohol poisoning.
