TRAD! THAI FINAL EDITION

All kinds of music from thailand that is either traditional or regional. Luk thung/kreung and similar are also welcome on behalf of their traditional influences. Since this is the final thread, feel free to come with suggestions for which region we should "go to" next.

Here's what I have from Thailand, if anyone wants something uploaded or have any recommendations.
>>
Just an idea but, do you think its worth adding in something about including regional music?

I think its a given in a way but it would open up some regions too for example dub, reggae etc for Jamaica.
>>

Well, it does say in OP that regional music is welcome... But overall I think we should keep it to what is very much regional music rather than music that is produced in one region that is heavily influenced by western pop music. Western pop music is exactly what I want to avoid with these threads, and I'd say dub and reggae might be a bit too close to that...

You've ended up getting some thai stuff man. Any of these you can rec in particular?

As for where to travel to next i suggest a non-asian region, and maybe one of the "famous" ones.
>>
>>60732459
This was supposed to be in OP, I missed it

>RECOMMENDS
Mo Lam Singing of Northeast Thailand (World Music Library)
Instrumental Music of Northeast Thailand (King's)
The Sound of Siam: Leftfield Luk Thung, Jazz and Molam from Thailand 1964-1975
Glawng Thai - The Sound of Thai Percussion Instrument
Reeds, Gourds and Gods: Reed Instruments from the Hills of Thailand

A non-Asian region sounds good to me. Maybe eastern europe?
>>
>>60732485
Eastern europe would be good. Any countries in mind? I can imagine it would make sense to do some of those countries together due to shared cultural history?
>>
>>60732515
The post-soviet states in europe for example?

Would you be interested in Turkish TV intermission music from the 70s? Two discs of smooth oriental funk and folk.

Yeah, maybe split it up so like one theme with Belarus, Moldova and Ukraine and one with the Baltic states.
>>
>>60733226
Yeah, I think this is good idea. Central european post-soviet states and balkan can go in different threads.
>>
Go to the Netherlands next
>>
>>60733808
But we said Central euro post-soviet?
>>
hey just wanted to say that I don't have a lot of free time lately so being a regular contributor to these threads isn't really in the cards for me but I love you all and I appreciate your dedication and I'll try to pop in whenever the stars align, it's something I have knowledge on, and I'm not busy

keep on keeping on
>>
>>60733839
so like the Czech Republic, Slovakia and Hungary?
>>
>>60733957
More like Ukraine, Moldova and Belarus.

wat
>>
>>60734014
East central europe.
>>
>>60734029
that'd still be like Poland and Slovakia

the only country to the east of Ukraine and Belarus is Russia
>>
>>60734127
>post soviet states
Keep in mind that these need to have belong to the soviet union. Also central can be north-south as well, not just west-east.

>>
>>60734173
oh ok, I thought Soviet satellite states were included in that
