Adrian Below was the solo guitarist on Remain in Light and was at one point slated to replace David Byrne in Talking Heads. He also worked with Chris Franz and Tina Weymouth in The Tom Tom Club.
Fripp at that time was being heavily influenced by the NYC new wave scene.
