Yeah, its "artsy" though. Go for something more conscious, like J. Cole, since most people who dont like rap just dont like niggers. Hes not almighty deep and introspective but he has several ideas throughout many of his songs. I personally enjoy Mo Money because cash is something people in my town are stuck on.
Actually, just state ehat youre into, since rap is a growing genre, theres most likely something youll enjoy

What do you like aside rap? There's some rap that's pretty far from the stereotypes like Dälek, some bands with accoustic instruments like Flobots, some crazier stuff like Death Grips (which everyone probably knows but just in case you don't)...
Kanye has some ok points but like everything that's overhyped, well, it's not that good.
