Yeah, when I was thinking how I should present the thing that are a 1/10 to me. I kinda wanted to emphasize that it's my opinion and that I also wanted to make it not being a "this is a literal 1/10".
The whole way I've set up my scale is that it's just based on the scale of the worst and best things I've heard. Making it represent literal 1's and 10's is weird to me.

I honestly think rating singles is dumb personally. You can do track ratings instead. The only exception is if it is a EP length Single release, or it's not on an album (though I still think it should be at minimum two tracks then).

My curve's peak is 3.5 because .5 is too brutal. Even a 1 is pushing it. There isn't an overwhelming amount of music I just say "Jesus, this should not exist it is so bad". Sure, music may sound bad, but 9 times out of 10, there is artistic value within that.

No of course not but for example my favourite genre is Black Metal, and particularly BM from Poland tends to be pretty good as of late. Now on the other hand I know that the few contemp. R&B albums that I have listened to weren't really my cup of tea. So when I listen to a new BM album from Poland I might hate it but the odds are much smaller than for a new Cont. R&B album

This is the same thing though. If you like a label, you tend to agree with however they're signing and what they're pushing. You're still taking recommendations, which favors the albums that you'd prefer.
