I own 10 albums by David Bowie, 13 albums by Neil Young and 10 albums by Depeche Mode.
Does this seems like too many albums? Can you own too many albums by one artist?
you can't own too many albums by one artist. the more the better
Yes you can own too many album by one artists, even if you love said artist.
You must never have more than 2 album from the same artist in order not the go over the limits of having too many albums from the same artist.
I own 20 Beach Boys albums. No. Fucking. Regrets.
17 Rush albums, half live, half studio.

But what number truly is the limits? I mean owning something like 1.Outside and Young Americans is totally rational. But owning Tonight and Never Let Me Down seems a bit dumb. I'd say 10 is the perfect number, not too little not too much. Just a good retrospective of a band/artist.

8 + 1 live album works better.

Just go with 10 OP. Top Ten just looks good in print.
Of course you can own too many, you could own so many you can't even get into your home because every square centimeter is nothing but records.
The real question is, what number is too many? I
If you're a big fan, no.
If you're a moderate fan, it can be a bit annoying to flip through your records and have a large chunk of stuff you only mildly enjoy.

You could probably get those for a buck at any record store that sells used albums, though.
