If you could prevent the death of one person, who would it be and why /mu/? My choice would be pic related although I am fascinated by how someone like Buddy Holly would've evolved musically (died at 22!). Tupac was still relatively young, at the top of his game and had a persona that seemed like he had would have more to say in new and fresh ways.
