What is your favorite language lyrically and vocally?
For me, being Danish, I can appreciate the lyrics of Danish music, but I can't stand the language when sung (rap is acceptable).
My favorite languages purely in terms of how they sound in singing is Icelandic and Japanese though. Been listening a lot to some Japanese folkpop stuff recently, and I don't understand 99% of it, but I just love the way the language sounds.

For the language, English, because I speak it.
For the sound of the language, French usually sounds very appealing to me. I very much like Harmonium and Stereolab.
For the accent, Irish.

Oh yeah, I love Irish and Scottish accents.
I was at a Joanna Newsom concert in Berlin earlier this month, and Alasdair Roberts opened for her, and I love his accent.

You have no idea how much I hate Harmonium. I'm from QC and one of my uncles fucking listened to them 24/7. Glad he's dead now

sounds like your uncle was a swell guy

Thanks anon, this is great.

I really like the Swedish language in song. This for example: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ePbYeUW8ygQ
Also, I'm also Danish and I pretty much agree on what you write on the language when its sung. Few exceptions though. It fits surprisingly well with black metal because of all the guttural and ugly sounds we make when we talk.
I speak English, but Italian and Spanish are just mellifluous, spoken or sung.
Japanese is harsh as fuck. It's like an icepick in the ear.

What Japanese music have you been listening to?
Italian > Spanish > German > French >> English
German is cool, but only on very specific cases. Same for French. English is bad.

How funny. I made almost the same exact comment yesterday on another board.

Portuguese or Turkish are nice to me
Japanese is an acquired taste but can work for some music incredibly well
