Well I find her album quite monotonous, her previous work led me to believe she was going to do better than that. It's not bad, rather disappointing.
But on the other hand i'm glad she doesn't try to pop her album up like taylor or any singer pop who takes shortcuts. She's into that gloomy dark soul, that's her thing. I red somewhere that she turned down a feat with beyoncé, that's quite cool that she stays true despite the advantage it could have made for her.
I don't listen to that very often but I guess her fanbase ( not talking about them youngsters who doesn't know shit ) might like it.

Not a big Adelle fan. I doubt many people here are. I haven't listened to it because it's not my thing. A lot of top40 isn't. I'm not necessarily writing it off, but I don't feel the need to listen to every major ultra hyped giant marketed album. I mean, anyway, I'm sure I'll hear a shit ton of it in the coming months as it gets played to death on radios in shopping malls like the previous Adelle album was. I feel like this is probably a bad place to talk about the album, realistically. The kind of people who frequent /mu/ are probably not the target demographic. That said, I'm sure it'll do just fine with people who are into that sort of thing - it's just not the kind of album that gets people's attention. Anyone who likes this album is most likely already a fan of this type of music.
