The second one is pretty much the first one but with a slower tempo and mood.
The third one is actually quite good. It didn't have a "spark" the first time i listened to it - it sounded basic but now it sounds okay. I'l take it.

The first one is experimental grime, actually quite a new genre and you could say on the forefront of innovative dance music

the second one is a banging groovy techno track, the genre is focused around repetition, with slow changes in beat and atmosphere driving the track
third one is drum and bass from a great and remarkably consistent album from this year, quite accesible with great production, similar to other stuff in the genre but still unique

It's not inherently judgmental, mainstream EDM can be good, it can be well executed and it can exceed what it's trying to do.

The idea behind it is that the repetitiveness sorta hypnotizes the people listening to it and you lose yourself in the music.

OP, it might genuinely improve your life to lurk /mu/ a bit instead of posting and try out some different genres of music, instead of brushing it all off as overrated because it isn't EDM. I know I've expanded my tastes a bit just from hanging around here, checking out threads that seem interesting, trying to push myself.
