I mean, I'm no expert but as far as I can tell most shoegaze is really treble-heavy with less emphasis on the bass (not always true). A lot of it seems to be mostly in the midrange and can also have a lot of higher register sounds going on that can be difficult to hear without turning it up really loud and having the bass blow out your eardrums in the process. So I guess I'd go with neutral from that list.
