Any of yours? List 'em, others tell you how right, or (more likely) how much of a pleb you are.
Nicer users can try to convince you otherwise with good examples.

I can somewhat forgive this on early Pink Floyd releases, because it kind of works with the music, but yeah, I wish there were "proper" versions of those mixes, too.
And fuck, does it hurt the old Beatles stuff. Hard panning vocals and shit, it's not great.
>Big room house
Yeah, you're right.
>over-reliance on build-ups and drops to create tension & release
unique songwriting and musical progression should accomplish that
>>60407131
I hate ultra generic drops.
Like the producer thinks they're hot shit and it'll get people moving when in reality it's tame and bland enough to play in a Target or Macy's.
>>60407131
You know, I was thinking—a lot of the crescendo-core post-rock and dubstep/EDM drops ultimately work according to the same formulae. One is more intricate, but still, aren't they both the same at heart—using a very obvious (similar) gimmick to achieve some effect? Crescendo-core has that note which brings it over the edge, kind of like the "where's the drop" bullshit EDM does. It's just that with crescendo-core, you can be more pretentious about it.

Some of them are triplets (listen to Kanye's Blood On The Leaves, for example, there are some triplets in there). But yeah, it's mostly just fast high-hats.
