Husker Du - Zen Arcade
Kyuss - Welcome to Sky Valley
Talk Talk - Laughing Stock

Charles Mingus - The Black Saint and The Sinner Lady
Throbbing Gristle - D.o.A.
Frank Sinatra - No One Cares
Frank Zappa - Uncle Meat
A lot of the rest are good as well but not a priority, most of them have at least one essential song I could recommend but I know you aren't actually going to listen to all of them so why waste my time
There's maybe five albums on that chart I haven't heard
>>60390453
I guess I was watching a lot of movies
I havent heard even a single song from any album in the rym top 300
maybe even more but I stopped looking
>>60390470

>>60390453

>>60390453

#377 and I heard it the day it came out
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pKlbBgQHPqo
yep shoulda gone with my gut. I thought of this too but didnt verify.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yUzcMqpUvoU
That was an extremely slow year for me and I consequently transitioned hard to movies.
>>60390504
Man just enjoy the ride, whats important is that you're on the right track. You found music, great, enjoy!
>>60390577
wait, what ride?
I'm the one that thinks listening to anything older than the current year is stupid
>>60390596
Gonna need a bigger bait to be honest family
>>60390401
>>60390570
It was meant for this guy
>>60390610
its all true and to continue the metaphor I missed the boat so might as well move on
a little bit of older music is ok but I insist on letting it happen naturally. I refuse to actively look for anything older than the current year.
>>60390259
check these dubs
>>60390610
>It was meant for this guy

>>60390937

Which one next? I've heard A Christmas Gift for You, just forgot to check it off. Oh and I've heard a few of the main singles from that Phil Spector compilation, but not all of them, not sure if it's worth it or not.
>>60390946
i've sampled most of the records on this chart and I wasn't a fan of most of them
I don't really see the reason why I would want to listen to stuff that doesn't interest me
>>60390995
>posts on a music board
>doesn't like music
>wears a trip
>is a faggot

>>60390637
This is arbitrary and limiting.
How is Mars Volta Pitchfork-Core, though?
>>60391310
arbitrary? more like the complete opposite
unless you're speaking of styles then yeah thats the entire point which regarding this makes it relatively unlimited
year > genre
the main point is that while I'm searching for these hidden gems of yesteryear I'm more likely to miss hidden gems this year. Then the cycle repeats forever which is no good. These supposed gems waited for 30 years or whatever so a few more years isn't going to matter to me.
and I still discover older music but I'm just not actively trying to. Unless I'm actively searching, its much harder for me to discover new music. Just look at this thread. How many hundreds of albums here are vetted as good let alone classic? relatively zero effort. Albums this year I'm literally going down entire new release lists in alphabetical order. Thats how you find hidden gems.
>>60391372
why is the current year a priority to you? a gem is a gem
>>60391128
>>60391166
