The piano pieces are mundane Satie-worship with Cage-like processes, but the more frenetic pieces are really great. Only wished he trimmed it down.

It was the first album or band that I heard absolutely everything from. I was like 13. I bought everything, listened to every song, knew every word.
I don't think they are as great as I used too, but when I'm at a sandwhich shop or a mall or something and one of their songs come on, I still tap my foot and mouth every single word.
Will never forget. Atleast I wasn't one of those alternative rock kids.

It had a few good songs, but the whole "dude recorded in our garage lmao" was just a gimmick, seeing that most of the equipment which was in Sound City is now in Dave Grohl's garage, which is more than half the size of the entirety of Sound City anyway.
It's one of their best, and they started taking themselves less seriously with songs like White Limo, but still mostly bland
